A. Access from Key Arrival Points

A.1 From Purwokerto Railway Station

  • Travel time: around 15–20 minutes by car or taxi.
  • Recommended: taxi or ride-hailing app (Grab/Gojek).
  • Destination for the driver: “Hotel Aston Purwokerto”
  • Ask the driver to continue on Jalan Overste Isdiman. Drop-off and parking are at Hotel Aston Purwokerto.

A.2 From Purwokerto Bus Terminal (Terminal Bulupitu)

  • Travel time: around 15–25 minutes by car or taxi.
  • Recommended: taxi or ride-hailing app.
  • Give the same destination instruction as in A.1 and ask to be dropped directly at Hotel Aston Purwokerto.

A.3 From Airports (YIA/NYIA and CGK) by Train

Most participants will transit through Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA/NYIA) or Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK) and continue by train to Purwokerto.

A.3.1 From Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA/NYIA)

  1. Follow signs to Yogyakarta International Airport Station inside the airport.
  2. Buy a ticket for the airport train to Yogyakarta (Tugu) Station.
  3. Take the airport train (± 40–60 minutes).
  4. At Tugu Station, board your pre-booked intercity train to Purwokerto. Travel time is about 3–4 hours.
  5. Arrive at Purwokerto Railway Station, then follow section A.1 to reach the campus.

A.3.2 From Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (CGK, Jakarta)

  1. From your arrival terminal, follow signs to the Airport Rail Link Station.
  2. Buy a ticket to Manggarai Station and take the airport train (± 40–60 minutes).
  3. From Manggarai, go to your intercity station (Pasar Senen or Gambir) by commuter train, taxi, or ride-hailing app.
  4. Board your pre-booked intercity train to Purwokerto (± 5–7 hours).
  5. Arrive at Purwokerto Railway Station, then follow section A.1 to reach the campus.

Tip: Always allow buffer time between flight arrival and train departure, and book intercity train tickets in advance.

B. Getting to the Campus & ICCRAIDS Building

B.1 Using Taxi or Ride-Hailing (From Station, Terminal, or Hotels)

  • Install and set up Grab or Gojek (or use conventional taxis where available).
  • Set your destination to “Hotel Aston Purwokerto“ and double-check the pin.
  • In the notes or when speaking to the driver, say: “Tujuannya Hotel Aston Purwokerto di Jalan Overste Isdiman“

B.2 Arriving by Private Car or Motorcycle

  1. Use Google Maps / Waze and search for “Hotel Aston Purwokerto“.
  2. Drive towards Jl. Overste Isdiman No.33, Glempang, Bancarkembar, Kec. Purwokerto Utara, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah 53114

C. Local Transport Tips

C.1 Typical Local Fares (Indicative Only)

Actual fares depend on traffic and app pricing, but as a rough guide:

  • Station ↔ Universitas Amikom Purwokerto
    • Motorcycle (Grab/Gojek): IDR 20,000–40,000
    • Car / taxi: IDR 30,000–70,000
  • Bus Terminal Bulupitu ↔ Universitas Amikom Purwokerto
    • Distance: about 5–6 km
    • Motorcycle (Grab/Gojek): IDR 20,000–40,000

Use the fare shown in your app or agreed with the driver as the final reference.

C.2 Practical Advice

  • Save this address on your phone and show it to drivers: “Hotel Aston Purwokerto, Jalan Overste Isdiman No.33, Glempang, Bancarkembar, Kec. Purwokerto Utara, Kabupaten Banyumas, Jawa Tengah 53114.“
  • Check the destination pin carefully before confirming your ride.
  • Keep some small cash (for parking or tips).
  • Verify plate number and driver name before boarding.
  • At night, using a car may be more comfortable than a motorcycle.

D. Accommodation and City Information

D.1 Suggested Hotels

ICCRAIDS has partnered with ASTON Purwokerto Hotel & Conference Center (Hotel Aston Purwokerto) as the official conference hotel and venue. Special accommodation rates are available for ICCRAIDS participants, subject to availability. Participants are encouraged to contact the hotel and mention “ICCRAIDS 2026” when making reservations.

D.2 Weather and What to Pack

  • Climate: tropical, generally warm and humid year-round.
  • Typical temperature range: around 24–32°C.
  • Rain showers are common, especially in the rainy season.

What to bring:

  • Light, breathable clothing suitable for warm weather.
  • A compact umbrella or light rain jacket.
  • Comfortable shoes or sandals that can handle wet surfaces.
  • A small day bag for water, umbrella, and conference materials.

D.3 Language and Communication

  • Everyday language: Bahasa Indonesia; Javanese is also commonly spoken.
  • Many staff at hotels and at the conference venue can communicate in basic English.
  • For drivers, simple phrases plus showing the written address or map pin is usually enough.
  • Translation apps can help with more detailed questions.
